Welcome to BookmarksForYou. This site is dedicated to showing you how to create all sorts of imaginative bookmark styles with easy step-by-step instructions, and printables where you can download and use for free. This whole website is started from two things: a love of books, and a love of cool, interesting, and beautiful bookmarks. BookmarksForYou’s motto is: bookmarks should be more than just any scrap piece of paper that you stick in between the pages of the current book you are reading.

About the author:

BookmarkGal has had a long and passionate love affair with books. There was a time when she didn’t care too much about what she stuck in between her current book, gum wrapper, kleenex (clean of course), grocery receipts, coins, and even a string of yarn. Basically, anything that was within an arm’s reach of where she was sitting at the time when she put down her book was used.

Then one day, a gentleman friend gave her a small rectangular box that contained beautiful handcrafted bookmarks made of thin pieces of bamboo. On each bookmark was painted a different lovely Chinese lady. BookmarkGal had never seen such beautiful works of art in a bookmark before. She was overcome with wonder. They were almost too precious to be used. But she did use them, and enjoyed looking at her bookmark everytime she opened her book to read. Somehow, she felt liked she treasured her books all the more because of her beautiful bookmarks. So from then on, she created different types of bookmarks that gave her the same sense of joy and decided to share her creations so that others can enjoy them too.
